A few more updates while the weather is still good.

1" Sway bar is in.

Outer shock tower covers are in with new nuts and bolts.

Washer bag, hoses, and pump are in. I will do the final hose routing when the main wiring harness goes in.

I got the back Koni shocks in as well, but I don't feel like uncovering the back end of the car to get pics now.

how hard was it to mount the sway bar and front shocks with no weight in the front end?

The sway bar was a piece of cake, no problems at all.

The shocks were no problem either, I had to jack up the LCA to get it so that it would just start to lift the car and then they went right in.

Even the springs went in without a spring compressor, as they were 1" drop springs, so they are a bit shorter then stock ones.

It wasn't too bad of a job to do without the weight in it. I had a harder time taking it apart without the weight in the car.

Did I miss where you said how you treated your hood hinges?

when i jack mine up the car goes up before they compress enough to get the back bolt in all the way, really has been a PITA.

Nope, I never posted about those.
I just took and washed them good in parts cleaner, scuffed them down, and painted them a steel type color.

I'm assuming your talking about the lower shock bolts on the spring perch?
You should be able to take the top shock tower bracket off, drop the shock down the middle of the spring into the perch and then attach the bolts, and then hopefully push the shock top down to get the bracket back on.

Man, what an experience! A lesser man >me< would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. Move to Georgia, I'll lend you some garage space and you can help with mine when *we* finish yours.

I'm getting bored and want winter to be over.
I got a little bit of work done and feels good to get something done.

I made a JEG's air cleaner look like a HIPO style air cleaner.

I started to work on the heater and rebuild it using the kit from CJ Pony's.

I got a new body part the other day.
