Recently, someone inquired about the new Mustang Project, LED Hood Turn Signal Indicators for the 67-68 (and I think even 69-70) Mustangs. That person was inquiring about them, so I thought I'd post this, since I just installed them in a 68. I have included a pic of the instructions. Simply remove your old lamps and place double sided foam tape, included into the lamp housing and on the back of the LED units to prevent shorting and to hold them in tight. The old lenses basically sandwich the LED units into the housing. The units come with some scotch lock connectors to tap into the original wiring harnesses, you are supposed to tuck your old lamp sockets in the hood...not my cup of tea. I made my own harness, removed and stored the original wiring harness, and just plugged my harness in at both ends, grounding to both the firewall and the hood.
They work beautifully and are super bright, even in daylight! Here are the pics!

Thanks for remembering me. I went ahead and purchased them after Christmas and just put them in tonight. My original problem was that I had replaced the upper radiator hose with a chrome one. The new hose clamp was larger and the original bulb in the turn signal hit it and broke. I was hoping that these were a lower profile and they are.

Yes, I have pics of the wiring harness. Here you go!
This pic shows the ground. The harness is grounded to the firewall, the hood and then split up by the LEDs to feed each LED with a ground. The Left and Right Power leads go from this plug, by the MC up to the respective LED lights.
I used male spade connectors on the LED side, and Female Spade connectors wrapped in heat shrink tubing on the wiring harness side, since they are electrically "hot."
Complete new harness is slightly shorter than the factory harness, since the LEDs have a small length of wiring on them.

Were you able to work with the lights while the grill assembly was still in the hood, or did you have to pull the light grill out of the hood to work on it?

Yes, those are the lights. You should note that the chrome bezel in the picture is NOT included, only the lights and pigtails as pictured in my post. They work well with the existing flasher in the car. The only glitch is that on the first flash, only the first segment lights for about a 1/4 sec., after that, the unit sequences as in Mustang Projects animation, below. I would buy this again and recommend it highly.

To answer your question, I was able to install the LEDs without removing the grill from the hood. After I installed them, I noticed the PO had installed the grills upside down! So after successfully installing them in the hood, I had to remove them and flip the grills anyway! Some of the tiny clips in my car were missing, so I improvised and used a tiny drop of hot glue to temporarily hold them in place until I get around to searching for those clips. The glue is almost invisible.
If anyone has a link to the grill clips, please let me know...it'll save me some time searching. In the mean while, it has been a few months and the hot glue is still doing it's job. I suspect the glue will last indefinitely, until I finally remove it.
