Just put a Scotchlock connector on it near the firewall under the dash. Then slide a female 0.76 bullet connector on the switch end plug. Make a wire that runs from the Scotchlock to the ignition switch, with a 0.76 male plug, and you are done.

Scotchlock:

Default Did it work

RaiderDave007,

Did you get it to work?

22GT,

Looking to do this tomorrow. I have the connectors. How do I know where to connect the Scotchlock connector to-when would I be passed the resistor? Would I be able to see the resistor, then go to the switch side of it?

I've looked under the steering wheel. I see the Red/green wire. My car doesn't have the pink one. Just also replaced the underhood gauge wires and the new wire is red with green stripe.

thanks,
Bob

most of the times the pertronix ignitor and flamethrower coils work fine with the resistor wire in place. I'd try that first.

Good replies. Thanks. I have the Pertronix II and Flamethrower II coil. Wonder if that makes a difference.

IIRC, If you bypass the res wire the tach won't work.

in a '66 the res (pink) wire is after the tach, don't know about the '68.

After seeing this, I think this is the proper way to wire a Pertronix.
