Check fuse & fuse holder clips. Sometimes they get surface corrosion and break the circuit. Possibly the H/L switch reostat that brightens/dims the instr lites. It's been too many years since I had a H/L switch in my hands, but I seem to recall a fuse within the H/L switch.

If all your gauge lights went out it most likely is the headlight switch rheostat contact. Have you tried turning the knob back and forth?

Next would be the fuse...see your owner manual...it's fuse #3. Blown or corroded
contact(s).

Last would be the ground wire.

Yeah, I tried twisting, pulling hitting and just about everything else I could think of doing to the switch. I'll pull it out this weekend and see if I can find a new one locally, after I check the fuse. Thanks

yep, mine went out to one night and i have the high beam light and turn signal light but the rest are out, and turning the headlight switch doesnt do anything either, so you guys have my attention as to what youll find to fix it

currently fighting with a fuel gauge sending unit so i hope the dash lights are an easy fix

My gauge lights went out one night, and I didn't notice any difference...

The high beam indicator light is on a different circuit. I have the same problem.
