What's the best front end set up heidts, fatman, etc

I am building my 67 and I am thinking about cutting out the shock towers. Pros and cons? What is the best one for around $2000? Pictures welcome!

They are all very similar. Some offer specials with bigger brakes and power R&P. Check ebay where you can usually find the extras with free shipping.
