Henry Ford Called. He wants his car back. This car is insane! I can't imagine you would ever sell it but I bet this would set a record at Barret Jackson for this type of mustang

Love your work.

Peter

I’m not sure about any auction record but I’m sure we will never find out as this car will be Kurt’s for life!
Thank You!

Had to do a double-take on the goat to realize it was parked on... SNOW? Nice work- you could do a whole article on the materials and process you used to install the back up lights (would be something interesting to see in Mustang Monthly).

We polished & installed the upper door trim, put the rear marker and work on some of the motor components.

The motor is just about ready to start and we are shooting for the weekend.
Thanks!

All I can say is just, wow. She is turning out beautifully. Can't wait to see it when it's 100%. I wish I had half this knowledge/ability so I could mine look that great, but alas I'm being a slow learner. Anyway keep it up!

We work on the 2.5” exhaust system yesterday. the shorty header and down pipes are from JBA and from the down pipe back is from Pypes.

With just a few cut with a 2.5” pipe cuter the system fit great!

We will weld all but the mufflers and will also weld on the back hangers so you will not see the clamps. From the movie it looks like the Bullitt car has a slash cut tail pipes that stick out about 2 to 2.5”. one step closer to startup!
Thanks!

Finished the exhaust this morning and cut the tail pipes at about 2.5” as any longer maybe correct but just look out of place.
fficeffice" />

We tack-welded the down pipes in place then remove the X pipe to finish the welds

The Pypes system fits awesome and has great clearance everywhere! I’m sure the movie car was 2” pipe but the 2.5” look cool!
Thanks!

You guys painted the underside of the dash white to help see around under there right?

How did that work out for putting in the wiring and A/C stuff?

Pics?

Mike,
We painted under the dash silver so it would look like unpainted steel, not white. The silver is bright under the dash and looks original.

This picture is about 18 months ago!

Today we painted the wheels a charcoal gray so they would look more like the original Torque Thrust. After trying a few other colors we decided on Eastwood’s Zinc Phosphate as it look like the original wheels and it is a nice satin finish.

We think they look a lot better then the light grey.
Thanks!
