69 Mach 1 Production Numbers

Is there anyone who has handy the book Mustang By the Numbers who can tell me how many 1969 Mach 1 390 4 speed cars were built?

I know there were 72,458 Mach 1's built and a total of 10,494 390 cars built in 1969 but not I haven't been able to identify how many 390 Mach 1's there were.

Do you need to know the breakdown for the close ratio or wide ratio toploader for the 390 4 spd combo?
The last time I did research on my car I believe there were roughly 3800 with the wide ratio and close to 800 for the close ratio for the mach 1's with 390's. If you need the exact number I will try and dig up that info that I saved someplace at home.

Here's some more info from our site, so my numbers are off a bit and it doesn't break them down by close ratio and wide ratio:

This is what I have for 1969 S code:

(when I list "all models" - I mean all that were available in that body style:

Sportroof (Mach 1 / GT / Plain)
Converible (Standard / GT)
Hardtop ( Standard / GT / Grande)

Total 1969 S code Mustangs (all body styles/all models) - 10,464

Total 1969 S code Mustang Sportroof (All Models) - 9.440
Total 1969 S code Mustangs Hardtop (All Models) - 772
Total 1969 S code Mustang Convertible (All models) - 252

(these are for

Sportroof (All Models) Auto Trans - 5,549
Sportroof (All Models) Manual Trans - 3,891
Hardtop (All Models) Auto Trans - 629
Hardtop (All Models) Manual trans - 143
Convertible (All Models) Auto Trans - 146
Convertible (All Models) Manual W/R - 86
Convertible (All Models) Manual C/R - 20

(Sportroof - no breakdown between GT, Mach 1, standard sportroof) yet
(Hardtop - no breakdown between standard HT , GT, Grande ) yet
(Convertible - no breakdown between standard, GT) yet

I hope that helps.

69 mach 1 390, 4spd

MBTN does not break down to that level of detail. For that type of specific production number you need to get them to do a statistical report, or find someone else who did the same search... costs about $80...
