The new full 68 quarters are not available with the indent for the pre-December side marker lights. Question does anyone make just the indent that could be welded in?
Thanks!
Pat
IMO it would be very labor intensive and run the risk of damaging the quarter.
Unless you are going concours why not just use the surface mounted ones and be done with it?

Really? What body style is the car? Glazier/Nolan has all three body styles, with indent, in their catalog.

Call them and ask. New stuff comes out all the time.
Worst case, which is what we had to when not much was available, was cut the old indents out and buttweld them into the new panels. When done by a pro, you'd never know.

The 68 indents were Pre-Mid-February before they went to flush mounted reflectors not December. Make sure to recheck your build date to see if you even need them.

Exactly right, 2/15/68.

My son’s car is a March 15th build but we are building a Bullitt replica, and the movie car was an early 68 so we would like to weld in the early indents marker lights.
Thanks!
Pat

OK, a hard-core replica. You going with the 390 engine, 4-speed, bent front bumper, and Nardi steering wheel?
No 390 just a good MPG 289, and no Shelby steering wheel as my son is only 15 and has limited cash. I did make him a steering wheel that looks like the leather wrapped Shelby wheel on the movie car for Christmas. The details that take time he can afford but the details that take $$ we improvise.
Thanks!
Pat
Keepat, I've been pondering cutting mine out and welding in flush patches to make my late Feb 68 vert more correct (last restorer replaced them with early 68 panels so I have them filled with filler currently). What's it worth to you for me to cut my indents out of my quarters and ship them to you?

Hi aolshove, If you are serious about going to all that trouble and you haven't sold them yet, I would be very interested in obtaining them. How much would you like for them? Cheers, Greengage.
P.S. If they have already gone, do you know the telephone numbers of any Mustang breakers that might have them. It's difficult to find them from this side of the pond (UK)
