Default Correct AM Radio for 68 with Console

Dad dumped the original radio in my 68 years ago for an aftermarket unit. I want to get a correct replacement. What is the correct number? Is it 8TPZ. Just an AM radio with the padded 68 console. Also, does anyone have a picture of the correct knobs? MY 67 radio fits the console, but the knobs obviously are not long enough to clear the pad.

It was the same radio, with special knobs. These are available new.

The 67 radio should work, (with 68 knobs) but of course the pushbuttons are are all wrong.

The console knobs are simply longer than the standard ones. IIRC, you are correct about the radio number.

I have a set of 68 new repo knobs that I just got, but they don't fit my 67 radio very well if at all and at this point have no way of knowing if they are correct for 68. I have to assume that the 68 radio is different, or I have the wrong knobs.

The other big thing is the 67 radio says Ford, 68 says Philco.

Ford owned Philco at that time.

After a bit more playing (with some better lighting,) I got the knobs to go on my 67 radio. All I need now is a 68 radio. I guess I'm off to flebay.

I also need to find the pad. Someone stool a radio out of it (maybe that's where the AM radio went...I'll have to ask dad) and butchered the pad.
