I was at my buddies Mustang shop today and he asked if I was interested in a tach that came out of clock hole in a 67 Mustang. I can see how much he wants for it if you are interested?

yes please. that would be great. I found a tach and its 2 5/8" for 30 bucks that's why I was asking if it would fit the clock hole.

It's kind of a cool little tach, but I don't have a newer Mustang like 67/68 I will call him in the morning and see what he wants for it. I can see if I can get a picture.

Do they actually have them? A lot of posts on this site say they are sold out and not getting any more. I'd like one too.

Those tachs were made in Australia. When there was a special order deal for them on V-M, it was with the company. Maybe some one like Dalorozo F. might know if they are still avail. down there. They are nice! Look good/work good!

Is there any issue in using the I6 Tach in a V8? The only discernible difference looks like a 6K range vs. a 8K range...am I missing something? I highly doubt I'll be pushing any higher than 5K on my car...can I use the I6 tach?

PUlses per revolution would be the biggest difference. So, it would work, would just be off by 33%. ON a v8 tach it is going to count 1 revolution for every 8 ground pulses. On a 6 cylinder it will count 1 revolution for every 6 ground pulses.

DARK67:
The mini tach advertised by MU is the CORRECT one to use. The face matches the other instruments, is easy to install. If they are out of stock, and you want one, PM me. I have a spare (brand new, in the box) V-8, 6,000RPM scale. You can have it for whatever the MU price is + shipping.
