I think you can buy the longer Shelby quick steer idler arms seperately, so one thing you could do is to cut a stock pitman arm apart and weld it back together with the drag link mounting point further out and up (with some extra steel in between the two ends, obviously). Of course, such a project requires good welding skills.
In the end, everything is fixable, but I thought the Borgeson modified these boxes so that everything lined up correctly, but apparently not. I assume they respline the shaft to fit he Ford pitman arm, so one wonders why they don't make it shorter as well, while they are at it? I guess that requires modifications to the housing that are somehow not possible.
