I have just installed this tach in my 67 fastback. Looks awesome, but tach doesn't work. I've got juice, hooked black to a ground, and green to the negative side of coil. Anyone know of some simple troubleshooting procedure? I think I may have moved the needle around during installation. It is stuck in the 5K RPM spot. Should I have manually pushed it back to 0? I figured it would "reset" itself when fired up. Any ideas? thanks

Hello,

Blasta: Did you fix the problem? If yes, how?

kaliona: Re. the white wire: Exactly where did you contact it?

Did this mod on the 67 over the weekend. Great write-up and pics. The end result looks stock.

Has anyone used this mod with an MSD Streetfire box? I am using a duraspark dizzy and have not had a chance to connect the grey tach output with the new set-up yet. Wonder if I need the MSD tach adapter.

Cheers
Ian

Hey ya'll I installed this tach this weekend, but haven't hooked up the wires yet. The neg, coil, and ground are easy... but, what did ya'll use for the ignition hot wire? did you splice into the back of the ignition switch? or, did you find another source of hot ignition power? BTW, it was easier than thought to fit this tach.

I took 12v off the feed into the voltage regulator behind the cluster.

Can you tell me what color the feed wire is? I have A single wire connection and a double wire connection, not sure which is the feed.

Thanks
