Default List of things to accomplish while on jack stands

I am putting my mustang on jack stands this weekend. While on the stands I plan to do the following

1) replace shocks on all 4 corners
2) replace wiring harnesses
3) possibly have someone come over and weld in my new trunk floors,
rear brace and taillight panel
4) completely go over the underside and recognize and address any rust.
Will apply rust encapsulator to all strong, non-cancerous metal
5) Replace the engine oil pan gasket

What else should I add to the list?

Did you buy the car recently? Check the brakes if you have not done so already.

check the fluid in rear axle, rubber brake & fuel lines, strut rod bushings. check for missing rubber plugs, eg. seat mounting bolts.

Thanks Bart. I am planning on replacing the strut rod brackets sometime soon, so may wait to replace the bushings at that point. Are those easy to replace, by the way?

Hehehe..I got caught up in the same situation. Like it's hard to put it back up on stands later....
But I placed an order through Summit Racing for the Tinman sub frame connectors and finished welding them on last night. So new brake lines led to new sub frame connectors!
Now I'm looking at the backside of some of my spot welds on my trunk floor drop offs that need some attention. So I'm going to do a little detail work this weekend.

Should the original shop manual have a lube point chart?

Also, what sort of rubber plugs?

At night, turn off the garage light and put on a bright shop light in the car. Then go under the car and in the engine compartment and look for any possible paths for exhaust to flow in to the passenger compartment. Only takes a few min, but solves a common problem.

Dumb question, but where would you check the fluid in the rear axle?

Go over your fuel and brake lines really well, look for any crimps, rust, anything out of the ordinary

Answer: Watch the list grow...
Check your rear quarter panel drain ports. They are in the trunk drop off panels and are almost always plugged. Also check the condition of the leaf spring bushings.
