I'm going to be there too. Totally looking forward to this--I first found out about it 3 years ago but have not been able to go because I've been tied up doing other stuff.
I wont be bringing my car--you have to get it there early and stay for the entire event if you want to show off your ride.

1966 A-code Coupe...work in progress
Used to be a really enthusiastic group from VMF. Cruises, Saturday night dinner etc. a group arrival on Sunday morning and a picture on the knoll at noon. Don't know what happened, but none of that seems to be happening. Not going this year because of other commitments; but maybe next year with the '66.

There's still a group of old time VMF'ers going this year including a few from out of state. There's a thread over on StangFix with details including Friday night dinner at the Outback on Beach Blvd.

Spectating myself--the kids have a Cub Scout event in the afternoon that pre-empts car shows. So, I am going early, but have to bail for the Scout activities.
Next year sounds good--I have wanted to get together with the group in the past.
