Default Can someone show me where the 289 fuel line bracket goes?

On a 65 289 there is a bracket that mounts on the engine near the water pump to support the hard line between the pump and the carb but I cant find a clear pic, all I find is a few Shelby cars and those ran a different line and carb.

Where do I mount this thing to look somewhat correct?

From the looks of my new line it seems to want to route in front of the distributor, I have read that some of the early mustangs ran it behind the distributor but I doubt I re-bend this thing for that.

Mounts to one of the timing cover bolts.

If you want to detail it correctly, the bottom part of the clamp was painted black with the long block assembly and the top part of the clamp and screw are zinc.

Thanks man, that helps a bunch!

Did you make your own gas line or is that a classic tube piece? Im curious if I could bend mine to go behind the distributor, my car is a March of 65 so I think it should route behind it.

That's the pre-bent line from NPD.
