Default Re-Installing an intake manifold on a '67 289

I've pulled the engine from my Shelby (in progress) clone and have cleaned up and painted the engine. I took the Intake manifold off (Edelbrock Performer 289) and I just wanted to see if there were any special notes that I should know before putting it back on.. I have all new gaskets (with cork for the front and rear of the manifold)...

Thanks

Dont use the cork. Just use silicone on the ends.

And I will say it again. DO NOT USE THE CORK. Just use silicone. I like Ultra grey or Honda Bond. Use a bead the size of your pinky finger in place of the cork.

I have 4 5/16" bolts with heads removed that I always use. I get the intake and valley prepared, then install the 4 'guides' in 4 locations on the motor. the guides help me to lower the intake straight down, keeping me from messing up the front and rear beads. You have to have the dizzy out to do this, but it really helps.
