Default TO Bearing ??

I did a quick search but didn't find the answer I was looking for. I'm having some trouble figuring out which throwout bearing I need to buy.

'67 coupe with a toploader 4 speed, bellhousing and clutch fork from a '64 1/2 mustang........AND a '91 5.0. The clutch and flywheel are matched for the 91 motor so they are 10.5"

Does anyone know if I can use a stock 67 throwout bearing with the 10.5" clutch setup? The throwout bearing that came with the clutch kit doesn't have the clips to attach to the fork like the 67 does.

This is the last part I need to buy to get my car back on the road!!

OK, searching for "release bearing" will help. The stock 64-67 289HP clutch was 10.5" (and was also used on the 69-70 BOSS 302). The 5.0 bearing won't properly match your "fork" style release lever. Get the G06405 67-73 release bearing and hub assembly from Glazier/Nolan. It's not even expensive.

I am confused about one thing. The bell on a 64 Mustang would be the 5-bolt style, compatible only with a 64 5-bolt engine. Any 65-present Ford smallblock would have the improved 6-bolt bell pattern.

Thanks for the help 22GT

And you're correct about the bellhousing. It's a 6 bolt pattern with a casting of C5DA-6394-A (or something along those lines). I typed it wrong in the first post. My car is made up of about 10 other cars from different years so I get confused sometimes
