Default Need drive shaft for 67 Mustang 390 4 speed

From what I can tell I need a drive shaft that is 50 1/64" long for my 67 fastback, 390, 4 speed. Haven't found one yet and I don't think sbf drive shafts will work. What other car drive shafts will work if any?

Only a few applications for that.

Simplest thing is to have one made. You can even buy "show-correct" driveshafts.

Try Jack at DeadNutsOn. He offers a few options from repro
to concourse driveshafts. Very nice guy to work with and quality stuff. I picked up my 69 390 4-spd driveshaft from him as well as an alternator. Very pleased with both.

Your location not listed in your bio. If you are anywhere near PA, the Carlisle FORD Nationals coming up 6/1/12. Lots of vendors and you may get lucky.

I'm in MO. I might try having a local machine shop make me one the correct length.

Can I take a drive shaft from a 289 car and have it shortened? The slip yoke should be the same right?

I had mine made from Deadnutson. Came out perfect, and if I recall correctly they have that length available.

ANy decent driveline shop can make whatever length shaft you need. Cheap, actually.

Two such shops within 10 miles of me, and I live in Banana-stan.
