So the body is the last bit to do! All the fenders, doors, hood, trunk, etc, etc. are all done! The rest should be shot this weekend! WooHoo! Here are a few pics he shot with his cell phone (not great quality) but you get the idea. I am going over to take a look in a couple of weeks and will get some good shots with my good camera...

Notice we are shooting the stripes underneath. Just a little detail that most wont even notice at the shows...

That underneath stripe detail is awesome! When your car is opened up at a show that's gonna add to the visual appeal in a big way. Nice build. Looking forward to seeing the progress in pics.

Alright! We got the car back two weeks ago, I just got time to take some pics last weekend. I'm going to fire up the laptop and get some posted. I have never been more excited about something, in my life! I thinks lot of the excitement is the thought of rebuilding "another old ford" with my grandfather, while he still is in the health to be active in the build.

The shop's lights are not great for picture taking, so I apologize for the blurry pics, but you get the idea. I'll take a billion good quality ones after she is assembled and outside! Rather than wait on the painter anymore, we decided that we would do the final wet sand and cut/buff, ourselves. We both have done it before, but decided to let it harden up a bit before starting to sand on the new paint, just to give us some leeway. so it will sit in the heated shop until next weekend and then we will hit it!

All cut and buffed! Reassembly underway! Give me a month or so and it'll be on the road!

I think so! and with me wanting a hot rod and Grandpa wanting a restoration, we are building a accidentally balanced resto-mod. Grandpa and I have the same level of stubbornness! ha! a perfect example being the rocker trim and grill. I wanted to paint them both black and leave the grill ornaments off all together. when I got out there last week he had it all polished and mocked up and it looks great! What makes me happiest is working with him and having him upbeat and more excited than me to work on it. He is pushing to finish it ASAP so we can take it and his 69 to WA for the Mustang club of America show this summer. I think it's in June?...
