Default Trunk Carpet Kits

I've read some of the posts about trunk carpet, some people did their own, some bought kits. I'm not particularly talented with customizing carpet, so I'm looking at the kits. I've decided against the Distinctive Industries (DI) because of the varying reviews I've read. Some people have said the DI kit is junk and doesn't fit, others say it's fine. It seems like the negative reviews outweigh the positive.

So I'm looking at these two for my 68 fastback:

1. The Scott Drake kit. I posted the coupe link below becuase the fastback doesn't have a picture: Scott Drake Store - Trunk Carpet Kit (Coupe, Black)

2. The ACC unit is tempting because my carpet in the car floors is also ACC so the match will probably be pretty good (80/20). The photo on this website is not what the parts look like: 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback Carpet Trunk Kit With Boards ACC-MUSTANG-1968-17691-68 - Auto Truck Trim Supply

Anyone have experience with either of these. I've attached the brochure for the ACC unit. It's the only decent picture I could find.

Thanks.

I'm not sure which kit I have but it looks just like the Scott Drake kit (bought it a couple years ago). Fit really well for my application and am really happy with it. Sorry about the pic quality...they were taken using an older cell phone.

Thanks for the reply. Do you remember where you bought it from? That may help me narrow down the brand if it came from one of the major mustang parts websites.

I'm not positive but I think I got this kit from Sacramento Mustang. I'll see if I can find the receipt this weekend though to check for sure.

Check out the kits Must. Unlim. sells. I bought DI junk because at the time, it was the only mfgr. that made them in red. MU now sells in all kinds of colored trunk carpet kits and they are decent kits.
