What trans are you running with the 3.55 gear? Thinking about going to that ratio with my T5, kind of afraid of losing first gear if I go much higher.

Right now it's got a C4 in it. This is a second rear end (the one that came on the car is still on it for now) and I think the gears I currently have are in the 3.70+ range, so I'm hoping to gain some lower RPMs at higher speeds.

Thanks, just the opposite issue with me, 2.8 gear now, hoping to be right around 2k with the 3.55 at 65mph (currently at 1,400 rpm).. That's what all the charts and calculators show..

I like that emberglo pumpkin. I'm trying to decide what color to paint mine. The axle ends are a gunmetal gray, so I'm thinking of repeating that all over the underbelly.

I figured that an all-black underside would be pretty boring, so why not throw some body color under there to spice things up a bit. I have seen some nice looking center sections done in red epoxy primer, but I didn't have any. I had the paint leftover from painting my lower cowl before I welded the upper back into place.

That rear end just happens to be filled with a Yukon DuraGrip limited slip & 4.11 gears. It will be going behind a T56 with a .50:1 overdrive, so I needed a real tall gear to have a usable 6th gear. 1st gear will still be usable, too.

3.70 to 3.5 at 60 MPH will lower RPM 200 depending on tire diameter.
