Default 1967 Fastback rear window opening dimensions urgent

Hello,

I am assembling the rear of a 67 fastback. The car came to me apart. I would like to know the dimensions of the hole in the rear where the glass sits. It would be a big help. For clarification, I define the hole as where the metal ends at the end of the pinch.

The dimensions I need—
The width of the hole at the bottom end near the trunk
The width at about the middle
The width 2” from the top. This can’t be measured at the top very well because of the curve.
The length (from top to bottom) 2” from the side, because of the curve, on both passenger and driver side.
The length (from top to bottom) at the centerline of the glass.
The diagonal from the corner to the furthest point in the curve. Please have a helper hold the tape sideways so that the tape is right at the corner.

I start assembly tomorrow. I haven't the glass to confirm it will work.

Links to dimensions would work too.

thank you,

Dave

I strongly advise you wait until you have the glass.

OK, Here you are,

bottom side to side = 42-1/8"

15" up from bottom = 44-1/4"

3" down from top at first trim tab on upper side, 45-3/4"

middle of glass is 32-1/2" top to bottom

good luck

Thank you. It's stitched up without the glass. I'll have to wait and see how we did.

What has your experience showed?

The reason I ask is because...

The sheetmetal is screwed to the car. My width at the rear is about 1/4" wider than the dimensions given to me. This is because the trunk panel width forced us to push the quarter out a bit. This left a larger than preferred gap in the right quarter to trunk fill panel. It occurred here in order to keep the center of trunk and fill panel lined up.

The glass length from front to back is more or less set by the framework. There wasn't much wiggle room there.

If I did have the glass, wouldn't I need to install the rubber on the glass and take some dimensions of the rubber lacing the flange?

Have you seen problems with the glass varying?

I plan on removing all the sheetmetal to have the car blasted. I can have glass available for the reassembly in case an adjustment needs to be made.

1 more question...

What are your thoughts on welding the factory seams from quarter to rocker and quarter to trunk fill?

To the dimensions offered thank you. They were useful but not entirely what i was looking for. I don't know this for sure, but I presume the sharp edge of the metal would be the critical dimension, not necessarily where it drops in. I say this because I don't know for sure. This is my first go at a project like this.

My dimensions are the outsde to outside of the opening where the seal would rest, if you want inside flange to inside flange, I can get that this afternoon if you want, I could hold the tape and shoot some pictures for reference
