Default does this look right? (water pocket under uca)

replacing my uca/spring perch/springs/shocks and holes drilled for Shelby drop. got everything out and decided to give myself more work by cleaning up and re-undercoating the wheel wells. Started to scrape out all the 45+ year old dirt/crud and it seems that below the uca (top of the frame rail?) i scraped out a TON of dirt, and when i was done there is a large pocket where water can just sit in there-not sure if they undercoated over drain holes or what, but doesn't seem right. (there was so much hardened dirt in there that was built up to the top, i thought i was scraping out a rusted part of the frame!) Soooo, any ideas on what to do? i don't feel real comfortable having it that way as in the norhtwest, if i get standing water in there it may stay there for the next 45 years! Thanks in advance for the advice-
john
ps-sorry if this is a dumb ?...ive learned a TON here and don't usually like to post but can't really find any archives to help on this one

Dig deeper, there should be an opening in each corner.

When i stripped the engine compartment on my 65GT I found factory seam sealer covering up those drain holes.

I believe If you scape the center, facing toward the engine, you'll find a drain that was almost always sealed with seam sealer, and even if not, gets clogged with dirt.

Funny, I ran into the same thing! So much crud. I just kept digging. I had a drain hole in the middle.

Had that area filled to the top withall sorts of sealer and undercoating no drain hole but there was nothing to fill since it was already filled with undercoating. Now it has a drain. Did the same project when I converted to a coil over. Good
luck

Got it-wow-about 1/4" of seam sealer over that thing-seemed like it formed a plug in the hole too-tried to pull the extra back out through the hole but couldn't so ended up just pushing it back down the hole with a screwdriver-hope it had somewhere to go as the rail seemed like its a solid channel. Anyways, done deal now-undercoated and ready to go-Thanks all for the info!!
