Actually, I think it was in a movie in 1979 with Mel Gibson.

BTW - what part of this car makes it only "kinda" ugly. It's downright nasty if you ask me.

I´m sure they could make this one into a Batmobile-thingy!

Kind of reminds me of one of the Mustang concept cars from the early 60s.

Whew-nasty- Wonder if thats a custom rumble seat or an adaptation of a very rare accessory (I know there was one for a 69- as I have seen pics of the "kit") I don't know if they were avail for early yrs- and I don't know if it was a Ford accy or aftermarket- But I do know it existed and was rare as hens teeth

Don't believe THAT was in MMonthly! Possibly you saw it in Mad Magazine. Alfred E Neuman would have been a natural driver! All it needs is 72 Mark1V oval windows in the "space" behind the door.

The rumble seat for the early cars was an '80s vintage aftermarket piece IIRC.

Yes, and that looks a bit to scarey to sit in. Imagine sitting in the rumble seat when the car gets rear ended! Not too safe.

Theres a guy around here who takes Maita's and turns them into 65 mustangs. You look at it and wonder whats wrong with that Mustang. Then you notice there's no back seat and then you start to realize that it's not a real mustang.
