Try Hot wiring the car if you still have the points dist. in there just to see if it starts. Run a wire from the hot side of the battery over to the + side if coil. You should get sparks at points for sure then. If it ran before and you have spark and gas in it i don't see why it wouldn't start. Make sure you don't forget and leave the jump wire on there if your not trying to start it etc.....PS---you can jump it over at the solenoid to start it also with the hot wire on. You don't even need your key on. If it does start hot wiring it you must not have power coming from your switch to the coil.
