I have an AAW harness sitting in my garage right now. Just waiting for some more parts to get here before I start on the install. Should be fun...

If you have replaced/rewired the harnesses why not use them?

That is why I'm looking for feedback. All the harnesses are out of the vehicle.

I'm partial to AAW, but there is no replacement for the piece of mind you get knowing you have new, updated wiring in your car. I almost had my car catch on fire with my old stuff. Nothing wrong at all with refurbed originals though.

Are you not comfortable with the refurbed harness?
Myself I like to stick with the OEM parts, they fit
right and function well.

Bad Shoes has a DVD on this exact subject,.....

For me, its gotta be totally New, with all of the $ thats being shelled out already, why save a few bucks here,..of course if it's not a full blown, "Please bring me back to life build", then I'd be thinking in another direction.

Nice All the under hood harnesses are brand new. Just the under dash and taillight harnesses are refurbished.

And happy late Birthday Marine

As 66FSTBCK and 65Fastback6 (!!) said, yours is new or the equivalent of new so what's wrong with that? I added a bunch of stuff to my (mostly new) wiring harnesses and I can tell you it takes at lot of time to add stuff to an OEM harness, I can't imagine it would have been easier to have to 'rewire' the whole car with an AAW harness. OEM fits, works and is new. I'd go with that. You could be busy enough if you are adding headlight relays, extra gauges, electric choke, alternator circuit breakers, high torque starters and the like.

Thumbup Loved the AAW harness install

I was debating the same issue and figured that I know me and that I would want to have the brighter lights and any other extras added with some kind of assurance the circuits are distributed right. I had issues with the original where they put too many feeds on one fuse. I went with the AAW and it was very easy. Yes, it reqd a newer 100a (1) wire altn but thats not bad. The instructions made it easy. If you take your time and know a little about a clean install you would have no problem.

I'm installing my AAW right now. I like it the way it supports my Ididit column, my Classic Air system, volt meter and not an Amp meter. Also has provisions for fuel pump and fan too.

After doing the aaw kit I wouldn't consider anything else. I wanted flexibility in routing and it does exactly what I need.
