Full interior including power windows, wheels & tires, fuel tank and system to support my FI system, under hood items needed, hoses, etc and all new glass and seals.
$10,275 and I can guarantee it will go higher. Might have to scale back on a few items if I can, like power windows and leather seats. And I forgot the exhaust system on that too!

I have a sumped and powdercoated stock tank with two 1/2" outlet/inlets and a rollover valve that I used for my EFI system. Just gathering dust right now.

I'm pretty much in that situation, too. I was thinking about how much I have left to go and it's at least $10K. I'm about to spend ~$1K on paint (haven't priced it yet, but it will be around that, I'm sure). My big ticket items will be the interior and engine build. Then there's all that nickle-and-dime stuff that adds up to a crazy amount.

When I tell people I've kept a spreadsheet on my 65 mustang for the entire two year restoration, they say that's the last thing you want to do, but it's good to know what the total investment is and when to say "done" and when to opt for vinyl instead of leather. Now maybe having a column for hard costs and soft costs is a little much, but can I really add the 1,100 bump out to the garage to the cost of Gracie Lou? I don't think so.
I don't keep track or add up how much to finish , just do a little here and there as i have $$ . I don't want to know exactly what i have into the vert .
Hopefully vintage market values increase steadily, at least that's what I tell myself. My other hobby was music so I knew with each guitar, amp or any other piece of equipment was only worth 50 - 60% when it came time to sell. There I feel better, now I can go on

Most important thing here: DO NOT ALLOW SWMBO ACCESS to your spreadsheet, list, reciepts/etc. Trust me here- if your wife doesn't care-fine- if you are not sure; SHE DOES CARE. Be warned
Yup, thats why I switched from using the discover card to fund the paypal purchases to transferring funds from Etrade to paypal...

You can actually also just link your PP account to the banking account in Etrade and they pull the funds from there. Otherwise, if you transfer from your ET banking account to PP it takes like a week...

I don't make any tallies. But every time I think I'm done ordering parts more get added to my list. Every time I think I'm close to finishing up I realize I need more parts.
I also have a spread sheet that includes a few cars over the last couple years. After all my building and trading cars I am finally in the black, as far as investment to resale value.
It can be an expensive hobby but you have to admit that Mustang parts are by far the most economical out there. Building a Mustang is the way to go.

No kidding! I almost bought a Road Runner.
Kind of hard to keep this one from SWMBO. She's keeping close track, and funding the project.
I started to add up the "extras" and it's only about a grand, maybe two, more. I'd rather spend it now and be done with it.
