Default I bet you thought I forget about my project low buck ;)

So what if its been a year since I started collecting parts for a new motor.
So what if its still just a pile of parts and doesn't even have a rotating assembly yet.
So what if my roof blew off 2 weeks ago in a hurricane.

I've got a free weekend and I'm working on a car. Not finishing up the brake that still need to be bled mind you...ahh heck no...I'm digging in deep and going for the big project.....

It doesn't hurt that I have someone buying the old motor from me and I could use the cash right now

On my 65 I can pull the oversize 410 out and put it back in about 6-7 hours. Not so with the 67....the smog stuff, the power steering stuff, the AC stuff....all those crazy brackets.....with about 4.5 hours of work I have 4 bell housing bolts left and I can pull it up tomorrow morning. Look you can even see the new roller block and assorted other parts in the background

I am definitely simplifying the engine compartment when I put the new motor in. It is just crazy these brackets.

You have rear axles stored at eye level. Wow.

Ok...I will admit I was 'slightly' worried about my plan to pull the engine with the car on the lift because of all the extra height to the equation that would add....but....it all worked out.

I particularly like that you appear to have like 10 spare tires there. In my own mind I've concocted a series of scenarios where you cruise your tires bald, quickly throw her on the lift, and proceed to just pop out the next tire and continue on your cruising ways. Very nice establishment.

HA! Not quote though.

2 are 275 40 17 Drag radials (my track tires)
4 are my old KDWR (245 40 and 255 40 17). My brother is going to need a 'roller' set of 17s when he gets his 67 back on its wheels and ready for paint so when I replaced the tires on the 65 last time I held onto the old ones for him.
And the last one is just an orphan KDWR that I have managed to have cluttering up my garage for some time now.

Maybe....maybe Dodgestang will share a pic of the 65 malady. He's was lucky on
that one. Sad sight!

That garage looks amazing!

I know how it feels to have a dozen projects going at once. Car looks awesome.
