Default Help with decoding my Cleveland pistons

Okay so i have a 351C 4V the engine has been rebuilt i took the heads off and the pistons say L2379 040 any idea what they mean thanks.

L2379 is the TRW part number for their flattop forgings. The "040" is the overbore size.

wholly calamity...someone bored a Clev .40 over.

i didnt think that was possible or if it is its prob suicidal at best

imo due to the thin walls inherent to that block you may want to consier getting it
resleved and go maybe .10 over.

I've been running my 410 stroker for a number of years without issues. To make it requires a .040 overbore.

Sounds like you are doing a rebuild? Have the walls sonic checked and then you'll know which route to take.

Blues..why would you resleeve a motor and NOT finish to standard bore?

Can you guys recommend me a cam,lifters,rockers and pushrods that will give me some serious power? Without overdoing it the car is for street not race track it's like a weekend car you know I like to feel on the pedal everyone in a while
