Nice...congrats.

I know how you feel. I had totally disassembled my car and my friends made comments like 'It's just a shell.'. Once color was on it and some reassembly occurred, my reaction was 'Holy sh**, it's a car again!' Now that it's 'finished', everybody sees that I wasn't insane...Well, less insane than they origianlly thought.
With good luck and some hard work, you just might make NYD!

This describes my situation exactly. My parents always asked me why I even bothered to keep the car - they claimed that because of the condition that it was in that it was nothing more than scrap metal and that I was crazy to spend money to store it for so long. Now that they've seen the progress, they've changed their minds and can't wait to see it finished. I hope to paint it before Christmas and then start reassembly in January!

Greg'66 5.0, I'll meet you in New London in the spring and we can compare notes! I'm 'done' except I don't think these things are ever completely done... Let's say I have completed the restoration and the planned mods. The 'unplanned' ones are next.
I remember the day I pulled my 68 out of the garage for the first time! That was a great day and I am really thankful I get to do it again with this one.
Without the help of this forum I wouldn't have gotten this far!
Thanks everyone and more pictures to follow!
Steve

"I love you, and your smart and all... but da**!, you are an idiot!!"
"The laziest man is the most innovative."
I'm working on the body now along with pinching my pennies and working my tail off on sidejobs so mine can be in color (hopefully) by early next year. Can't wait!
I just finished my 3 year journey and its well worth the wait... my friend used to look at my car and just say you're waisting your money... now they all want a car like mine.
