Default My chrome plater just called...

And my vent frames are done! I went with Terry Meetz at Custom Plating Specialists since they had rave reviews here on the VMF.
It actually came in a few dollars under the estimate.
Soon as they arrive, I'll post up some photos.

Get a close up of the triangular 'crotch' area. I like to see if they kept the detail with sharp lines

I send all my stuff to Terry. Great work and reasonable prices (for chromework!) He also polishes stainless too!

$360 shipped back. I was quoted $350 for the work, came to $330. The rest is shipping and disposal fees for his chemicals.

Yea, plating is crazy expensive, but the shiny stuff in the right places is what separates a good from a great car.

Advanced Plating in Tenn. quoted me around $700 for the pair! Now they are one of the high end platers in the nation with tons of high end customers. I've seen their work, and it is something to see. But I just could not cough up that kind of dough.

I understand the pic he's looking for as I've seen at least one set of frames done that got to much chrome and filled in areas that shouldn't have been done.
I used Paul's a few years ago. think $150 each vent frame and also had rear 1/4 frames done @ $175 ea.
GREAT work, once they receive your parts they validate them by sending me a pic of my stuff to which I must say YES before they start. They engraved my initials on an area not seen. The details on all the areas with grooves was very nice.
I'm sure there are a few good places, proof is in the details so to speak.

After plating the crotch, everything else seems anti-climatic.
