Default '65-'66 battery that fits stock tray with clamp

I've seen a lot of posts suggesting there isn't a battery with the lip on the short side to accomodate the stock tray and clamp. Centennial batteries makes both the small(22F) and larger (24F) that have the lip and will fit the stock tray and be held in with either of the hold down clamp styles.

Optima red top #8003-151 34R fits just fine. The lip is a bit lower, so I bent my clamp down 1/2" or so and it works great.

Where are you located? That would help. There is definitely a battery "Nic-L Lyte" out of the Denver area that produces a 24F with the end tabs. I have one in each of my '66's and my 2000 Honda Odyssey. Check their website for a local distributor. Price is very reasonable. There are also others.

Exide makes a 24F battery, with the mounting tabs, that fits perfectly. Picked mine up at my local Menards, I think it was around $80.00.
