Default Cali Emissions ???'s again

Hey Guys,
I'm back.. I know there are a few that have this?? I hope...

70 M1 San Jose Built 11/69. Evap gas Tank connections are still in place.

This Is For Show Only!

My prior posts asked for Evap Canister Location PIC's.. Waiting..

I found the Canister. Restoring now.. Tuff to find (any) connection parts.

My Shaker base currently has a plug. I've been trying to modify the paper hose connection that fits into the Shaker Base. I'm trying a Breather type connection thats used for the Oil type Closed system filter used on the opposite side of the base.. Works.. But not happy..

Picked up some other plastic type heater connections thinking I may be able to fit.. We'll see

Are these available anywhere? Anyone have one to sell.. The Paper hose is No Where to be found.. Checking

Think I may be on my own to figure this one out..

Appreciate your help.

Thx again
PJM1

He's in Florida if his avatar is correct. If the car is still in California and is currently registered, you won't need to have any emissions inspection done. So are you just trying to do a restoration? Post up some pics. Bruce

The only odd ball thing that you might find was in 1969/1970 was the NOx device.....basically a cigarette size e-box that was suppose to - well, reduce smog...just about everyone was required to go get them for about 2 years....then they were found to be useless and not required and could be removed.

Default cal emissions

The paper hose from the charcoal canister to the air cleaner, and the fitting you screw into the hole in the side of the air cleaner housing, are available from Mansfield Restoration Parts. If you need a vapor line from the rear of the car to the front, I think NPD sells those. The expansion tanks mounted in the trunk show up periodically on Ebay and are really not that expensive, at least as I've seen (probably because no one wants them). There is a valve between the expansion tanks and the charcoal canister as well, let me know if you need further detail about that. And I have some good pics of how the charcoal canister is mounted, let me know if you would like them. It's an intersting system, worth putting back together if you can, but the tank is the hardest part of all...

It sounds like he is doing a full restoration for show and needs it to be correct for that year.

the nipple for the side of the air cleaner is avilable thru any vendor. its the exact same part used on 71-73's. just order that one its the same thing as the charcoal canister set up was std in 71-73 for all the plants. EDIT: (not the trunk junk just the stuff up front was std)

PM me and i will get you the photos of the mounting location

I have blue plastic one attached to a 1970 351-C air cleaner that is straight, not the elbow that is shown on the Mansfield site. Which one do you need?
