Default Not all that vintage stang.

I was thinking back at all the mustangs I've owned over the years. My first car in fact was a stang. A 1974 mustang ghia. I payed all of $200 for the beast with no reverse. Adjusting the bands on that old c4 had her going backwards and forwards in no time. Polishing the bright orange and black two tone paint and removing the black mold from the white vynal top took by far more time. I loved all the oddness about the car. The not quite digital clock in the dash, the white leatherett seats that almost felt like leather. The 8 track player that still worked. The 2.8 litter v6 could of used a little more power but hey I was 16 and it was a mustang. Two engines latter I moved onto an 1986 fox body. Then a 72 notch back. Then a 66 coupe. 20 years latter I finely have the stang I wanted when I bought that first 74. A 65 fastback, with a 289, a/c, and a center console. Oh, and spinners. I always wanted factory spinners.

When I was a kid, my family had a dark blue (I need to research the actual color name) 68 coupe with a white vinyl roof. I loved it! That car made me want one! Well, just a few short decades later and I now have my White Horse and love her! I never had the opportunity to get one when I was young, but now, like you, I have mine!

I almost bought a 68? or so Mustang in the early 80's when I was in college and broke.
My parents would not help with the $400 price tag.
Only took 30 years, but I finally bought my own.

A little while ago I was tempted by a 1978 Mustang that had a 302 and it was orange with black stripes. I needed a new car and I contacted the seller, but I think she got cold feet and decided not to sell it. I am attracted to orange things like flies on poo. If it was any other color I don't think I would have bothered.
