Folks ... I don't suppose anyone here would know how to connect (power for lighting) on the center console (shifter etc) and back courtesy light on a 1968?
I took it apart yesterday and repainting things and the harness is there .. just not sure where the hell it's suppose be connected :-)
at least the connector I have coming from the car harness and the one on the console don't match up .. 2 wires on each but the connector setup will not connect .. not made the same way ... just wondering if anyone has anything I can look at ...
also .. the light that there between the back seat (rear of console) goes on when ? when the lights (headlights are on ) or when I want to open the lights in the car ?? or when the doors open
thanks
Ralph

Be sure you're not confusing the shifter harness with the console harness.
also .. the light that there between the back seat (rear of console) goes on when ? Whenever you open the car doors.
when the lights (headlights are on ) Nothing to do with it.
or when I want to open the lights in the car ?? or when the doors open Both.

you will see I have connectors that I have no clue where they go .. I have a bubble dome light attached to the harness of the console .. not sure where it goes ... I think there is a spot for it on the console underneath ...
you will see I have one on the floor a connector not sure what goes plugged there ... etc ...
thanks for helping out :-)

Your shifter is the wrong type. The console version has a little loop welded to it to connect to the selector to show what gear you are in.
