Drove it for about an hour and a half, topped off the tank, hit it with a "California Duster" and some quick spray detail. Guess since it's snowing now, they're gonna salt the roads. Looks like it's gonna be sitting a while, good thing I filled it up.

Re-installed the carburetor after cleaning it out and replacing the needle valve. Fired right up.

I put on new backup lights, new chrome valve covers and chrome export brace and took several pics of it since I just bought it on Sat and had to work on Sun. Today was my 1st day to enjoy it.

Default Guess what I did!

I bought a torque wrench so I would not sinch the valve cover bolts down to tight. I set the wrench to 144 inch pounds (12 ft pounds) and slowly screwed it in, still not feeling the click, and thought to myself, this seems like it's more that 12... CRACK! Yep! I snaped the center bolt on the driver side! Damn! I took her to my mechanic today. [sigh...]

Two steps forward, one step back. Looking anxiously for the next two steps forward now! Merry Christmas!
