Default 69/70 fastback boomerang moldings?

I have been looking at 69/70 fastbacks on ebay to see how the boomerang moldings fit. I am referring to the ones that connect to the chrome drip rail moldings. I am looking at where they sit on the quarter panel, Mine are about a half inch behind the top of the quarter where it meets the door. On the ebay cars it looks like some came all the way to the edge and others were like mine. It is hard to tell because there were really no good shots of them. So, to the people who have 69/70's, where are yours at? Thanks

Can look at mine tomorrow. Believe mine set back a little but don't think it's a half inch. More like 3/8's or so. Don't think it really matters as long as they don't hang over. I've seen them come all the way to the edge almost and then some set back some. Can't remember seeing any setting back more than 1/2 inch though. Lots of the same parts can very on these older mustangs from one car to another. You can barely see a space between the edge of the boomerang and the quarter in the pic if you look real close
