Default 1965 Coupe Pony Courtesy Lights

I have a complete new 1965 Coupe that I have been rebuilding over the last four years. I finally have power and have been testing all the electrical on the new harness. It seems the door courtesy lights only light using the headlight switch. Arn't these supposed to also light when the door opens?

Also the under dash lights never light up, however the glove box light works perfectly. Any suggestions?

Yes on the 'when the doors are opened' comment.

The glove box light is independent of the courtesy/under dash lights. There may be some wire harness junctions that are disconnected.

You need a copy of the 65's wiring schematic to trouble shoot the system. Although not part of the 65 Shop Manuals I've seen, it is available separately from vendors.

Wiring schematics are part of the Ford shop manual.

Not for 1965 models.
