So, I thought i'd change the fuel filter when I changed the oil today, but, I don't think the PO ever put one on.
I could not find one anywhere.
The line from the regulator to the carb is braided.
I guess I need to put it just before the pump?
Doesn't look like there is enough room there, i guess I need to cut the metal line?
And of course, there is not room down there to cut anything.
Why does every 10 minute job on this car turn into a 2 hour ordeal?
I'd just go to an auto part store, buy a new fuel line and a fuel filter. Weird though.

There may not be an in-line (add on) filter but are you sure there is not one where the fuel line hooks up to the carb?
It's going to be hard to put an inline one just before the fuel pump on yours as it looks like the PO also put an incorrect (too long of hard line into the bay). At least on a stock 65/66 it only pokes through an inch or two which still gives you plenty of room to put one there, that is not the case with yours.
You could cut it off, but I wouldn't feel good about it without the bump or some flare of sorts on the end to keep the rubber line from slipping off.
