I went to this site at the marti report. It asked for vehicle information....year...model...engine...under engine there are (2) 302 listed. 302 & 302B Does anyone know what the B stands for??
There were 4 302s: a 6, F, J, and G code.
B is for the 302 Boss which is the G code.

I thought play boy pink was one of the rarest colors?
In 67 there were 7,490 "special paint" cars.
In 68 there were 5,939.
No telling what the rarest colors were/are.

My 68 started life as a presidential blue car with blue interior. I kept the blue interior, but painted it Acapulco blue on restoration. I did not want the presidential blue, too dark for me, but you don't see many of them around.
Saw a pastel gray Shelby this past fall at Barrett-Jackson in Vegas, it did not belong on the Island of Mis-Fit Toys. Beautiful car, as a pastel the gray was a more washed white than rattle can primer.
I've never seen one, but I'll get the chance soon. Here's a photo I found-

Lime Gold

so we kept it the orginal color
Glad we did.
I tried to upload pic but it would

On the other side of the coin, lime gold was way up the list for
popularity...... I think #1 back in the day. I see at least 1-2 of those
a year....
My Marti report says that my 68 vert was one of 3,316 cars with the Lime Gold paint code that year and one of only 111 with that exterior combined with the Ivy Gold interior which sounds like it would make a fairly rare car. This was just for the 1968 convertibles.
I do not know if that means ALL Mustangs built that year or just the Dearborn plant.

I love my lime gold 'vert. It just works on a Mustang. Just like a purple or orange works only on a Mopar.
Lime gold is beautiful, I know some people don't like it but I disagree. It's a favorite of mine just because it's so uncommon...stuff like lime gold, emberglo, etc..you just don't see cars in those colors any more.

Next On the Agenda:
Interior - Replace floorpans (in progress), new carpet, tilt column, new steering wheel
Exterior/Body/Performance: Windshield (in progress), New cowl (in progress), weatherstripping, power steering
I also think the Lime Gold looks much better in a modern bc/cc. It seems to have much more depth to it and "pops" more.
