A little late but I'd look at the swivel casters on your equipment, not the wheels. I once caught one wheel of my creeper in a floor crack and being stressed to one side allowed the swivel bearings to pour out like water. Still rolled just fine but lost all its swivel ability. I've seen the same happen on engine hoist casters and such. Those look a little big for creeper casters but it's kind of hard to really tell in a picture, even with the quarter.

+1

I've even had toolbox swivel caster grenade while rolling it into a shop. Little steel balls EVERYWHERE! Anything with swivel casters will have these in them: mechanics seat, dolley, jacks, engine hoist, carts, etc.

You have a roller slide on a cheap toolbox that is missing some rollers.

There was a midyear change from balls to needles.

After years and years of looking I finally found the muffler bearings.

"Contrary to popular belief, muffler bearings do exist, just ask your local dodge stealth or mitsubisi gt3000 owner. Although a popular prank to pull on the not so automotive savy muffler bearings are located inside the muffler, in order to operate a flap which opens and closes depending on the exhaust flow directing flow back into the turbo. Due to inconvienience (carbon/other buildup often jammed the bearings causing noise and poor performance) the bearings are only found on older models."

Here they are......
