When I bought my car the guy had a lot of extra parts he just threw in to make room in his garage. One of those things was a 65 C4. I dont know anything about the trans but he did tell me that it ran when he pulled it. I want to do a T5 in my 69 so I posted the trans for trade on the local craigslist. A guy emailed me offering 300 for it as long as its not cracked. That includes a stall converter and flex plate. Again I dont know anything about the stall converter but I assume its a stock stall. Do you guys think that is a fair price? I really dont know I was just hoping to get my T5 out of it.
My '64 1/2 vert. Ordered May '64. D code 4 speed, handling package, caspian blue, accent group, Ford blue manual top.
'68 vert. driver. Owned since '77. C code AT, AC, PS, P disc B, PT lime gold, standard black interior and top. NOS RF fender and left quarter.New top and folding glass.
There is no chance I'll need it I want to go with a T5, my only concern is taking the 300 if I could get more for it that could go toward a T5. I'm not trying to make any money off of it I just want a T5 haha. I think I am going to go for it. I talked to a buddy of mine that also agreed I should take 300.
Are C4s really worth that much? I have the orignal C4 from my 67 sitting on the floor. It's due for a rebuild and I just went to a T5. I've nearly given it away a few times in favor of the floor space. Is it worth selling?

I honestly don't know. I got the trans with the car a few months ago, stuck it in my garage and haven't looked at it since (its kind of buried in there). I am goin to get it out this weekend to take some pictures for the guy so ill let you all know. At this point I already told him Id do it for 300 so if I found out it was worth more that guy will get a great deal.
