mysterious DSO code

Im looking forward to buy a 65 Mustang Convertible.
But there is one thing, that makes me insecure.

What is a D.S.O. code "K"

5F08C906675
76B X 26 14H K E 6

Thanks, Styria

no lettered DSO's. K would be Oct. 64. K in the vin is VERY GOOD! K as a color would
be Silver Smoke Gray

Likely the DSO there is 26 which would be Washington.

That has to be a very late 65 with a VIN number that high!

Maybe a typo, seems like 8 something is the highest I have seen before.

Just looked in the book "Mustang Production Guide" by Jim Smart
and the highest Deaborn VIN listed in the book (can be higher ones)
is 806587 with a scheduled date of 30U

OP, you may want to double check the VIN

14H also doesn't sound right for the date,
H is for the first year, VINs in the 200000 range
76B is for pony interior which didn't come out until mid year
more like in the 300000 or higher range.

Things aren't adding up right here!

How about a photo of the Warranty Plate?

I hope by your comment that you are not planning to buy this car sight unseen .......

I bought my car without seeing it in person. Just make sure you ask any questions before you fully commit and get lots of pictures.

Google know that vinnumber!

There is a picture of the plate here and it's new and not the original made for the car by Ford in the 60s.

Checked out the link, the info on the repo door tag is as the OP stated,
no telling whats going on with this car, too many things don't add up,
best to stay far away from it!
