Ordered a trunk carpet kit to finish the trunk off. I also removed and painted my gas tank which leaves me with the opportunity to finish the trunk. What is the stock finish suppose to be ? Any opinions or PICS would be nice.

Yup. I thought trunk floors were body color and tank was bare galvanized metal. Whose carpet kit did you go with? I bought mine from CJP and doesnt fit a fold down seat car at all. There wasnt a designation for FDS though so maybe this was actually for convertible or fixed seat car.

Would you recommend that carpet kit for a fixed seat car? I've thinking about installing carpet in my truck as well.
I have not started to place the carpet yet. The carpet was reccomended by my local Mustang supplier (Distinctive Industries). I dont have fold down seats but the supplier did make a set specifically for 1970 FB. Thanks for the color info people.
