Default Need more help on 1970 heater core issue

My problem is that my son's 1970 Mustang with a/c has a bad heater core (on the left) and as you can see the replacement from NPD isn't close to the same size, nor are the tubes in the same place. Anyone else run into this? The heater cores at CJ's and other sites looked the same as the NPD one, not the one I pulled out of his car. Thanks in advance.

The "heater core" on the left looks strangely like an A/C evaporator....

We've all been there and the best thing to do is just laugh about it and accept the doofus prize knowing that it will soon be passed on to someone else. :-)

On the other hand, if radiator coolant is leaking out of the evaporator core, you DO have a problem!
