Hey guys quick question, are there any junk yards in central nj that are classic mustangs only? Someone told me of a place but I can't remember the name of it.

Toms river, cool welcome. That's one of my regular haunts. There used to be some good junkyards around there but none were Mustang only. As of late the only ones I've known of were Cosmos green acres or something like that it's right off of exit 78 (double trouble road). They used to allow people into the yard and they always had old stuff there. Then there is Unique up in Jackson, he had tons of old cars over 500,last time I was there he had about 20 60's stangs . I heard he had legal problems and they might be closed now? I have been unable to confirm.I know there is a mustang only yard down there somewhere but it is strictly fox body and newer. I'll keep my ears open.If you find a decent one, please let me know as well. Thanks and happy hunting
never had any positve dealings with him in regards to pricing.
uber expensive all inventory is gold.

Friendship junkyard in Tabernacle always had a decent amount of old Mustangs and Fords and old everything. Haven't been there in a while but it is an old school yard you can walk around all day if you want. Prices seem a little steep depending on what you want. They wanted $150-200 for an 8" out of a Maverick that I got for $75 at a U-pull. Fun place to walk around.

Been there many times. It is definitely a great place to walk around and snap some pix but they definitely think everything is worth it's weight in good though. ...
I left NJ in 2007 but heres what I remember, Friendship near Red LIon NJ, Manchurs in Hunterdon NJ (closed?), was a place on rt 22 in Watchung NJ that was Mustang only, Kobers had an awsome yard near Washington NJ even had a row called Mustang Alley(closed?), Port Murray salvage near Washington NJ had two yards one with older cars, Red & Black in Jamesburg NJ used to have good old stuff and Mustangs (had to be quick Perogies picked that yard), Mezaros in Hopewell NJ (closed), Carmines in Whitehouse NJ took all the stuff too old for Lentini's in Flemington, went to a place once in Scanton PA that was HUGE, lots of old cars in an old coal strip mine, right by Interstate 81 I believe. A couple places in Trenton were good, Scarpati's was one, a couple in Morristown PA were good too but the old stuff was spread thin.
I miss Perogies I used to love walking the back lot seeing what George and Randy would try to talk me into.

I've been through Friendship's lot many times in the last 2 years. Bare bones T and C codes. Mostly 5's and 6's.some 71-73's. Slim pickings but they let you roam all you want. Go in winter - ticks are everywhere. I would, however, give Bob Gelsi a ring down in Vineland. Bob was a, if not the, premier restorer in the tri state area. He's out of the restoration business, but still has 60 parts cars, bad shape, and a warehouse full of parts. The good stuff is gone but there are diamonds still there. Bob is as polite and knowledgeable as anyone. Perogie - high prices, and they have alot of hard to find stuff.

Thanks for posting this,I have always wanted to go down to Gelsi's. It is a hike for me so I would want to talk to him in advance. So is he opened as a junkyard now? I'm curious what the status of Gelsi's is currently if you know Also do you happen to have contact info for him? Thanks

Bob is currently stripping the remaining cars and selling anything worthwhile, scrapping the remainder. Speaking with him beforehand is the right way to go - 856.692.3178. Good luck, pm me if you go.
