Default Need help with a part name to find in search engines....upper fastback quarter vents

You know...the cool fresh air vents that let air into the rear seat on fastbacks, they are scoop on 67/8 shelbys, they are glass window on 66 hertz models....

So I need to buy the gasket the sandwiches between the assemble vent assembly and the outside body when you install it. I can't find it at places like CJ pony parts and I suspect it is because I am not calling it the right name.

Sorry Nick!
You can't find it because as far as I know it's not being reproduced. Your best bet would be a swap meet, auction site or advertize it in the wanted section here. Just to clarify for others reading this: This is the seal between the fiberglass inner vent assembly and the three piece outer assembly. There is no seal between the outer assembly and the body of the car.
The seal may come on the new reproduction fiberglass vent boxes, but I don't have any experience with that part.

I have the inner seal...but when I took apart my car I had a thin seal between the outer vent and the car (very much like the seal around the lower quarter panel ornaments). Maybe someone added a homemade seal the last time the car was apart.

They let air out, not in.

I don't recall a gasket between the louver assembly.

My car didn't have any gasket or seal there and I haven't
seen any on louvers that I have removed from a few different
cars. I would just use some 3M caulk strip around the studs
where they go through and make sure you have a drain hose
hooked up underneath that area.

Mine had caulk strip all over everything. Inside, outside, everywhere.

You mean the "Air Extractors"....

Yes, they were sealed with "dum-dum", aka 3M strip caulk.
