Mine Doesn't Have This...

Anybody know what this black bracket/conduit is? I ran across this picture of the trunk area on a 69 Shelby convertible on the Mustang Barn website.

Evaporative emissions stuff. Not junk has no effect on engine performance.

California only for that year.

Never seen that on a 69, only the 1970 models.

69 Mach One, 428CJ, Legend 5 Speed, 3.91's.

hmmm... weren't all the 70 Shelby's really 69's because the key's were still on the dash?

Watch out. Due to that cool looking center exhaust outlet the 69/70 Shelbys had, some cars caught fire during certian driving situations. The fuel filler tube has to be vented and a non-vented gas cap was used. Make sure you aren't driving with this disconnected.

yes, the 70's were 69 leftovers, but they painted the strips on the hoods of the 70's where the air vents or scoops were, I believe they also put front spoilers on them too? Govt was involved during the re-vinning of the car's numbers
