351w is a tight fit in a 66. I'll let someone who has one chime in.

Both will be tight. The 351W is doable, but you will have to do some shock tower modification. You may need a bubble hood too. The C6 will be even tighter. You will have to modify the trans tunnel. MustangSteve has a tutorial about doing this Google MustangSteve.

The 351W fits with no problems. You do need the correct headers like Hooker Supercomp 6208. Hood clearence can be an issue with some intakes. I would not use a c-6 as the c-4 fits better and uses less power and can be built to take a lot of abuse. If going the 302 route I would do a Stroker 347.

Just do a 351W and a C4...plenty strong enough.

Yes. You will need to be a bit creative with the trans crossmember.

use the hooker engine swp headers. trade the c6 for a c4. the c6 eats up 55 hp compared to the 25 a c4 eats up. the c4 will easily handle the 351w. i put a 351w in a 65 with the hooker engine swap headers and didnt modify anything.

ran a 351w and c4 in a 66 convrt for 7 years and over 100k using stock 289 exhaust manifolds but the drivers side is tight against the steering box but a couple of washers under l/h mtr mt gives a little clearance. only had to change out l/h ex manifold 1 time. wes
