Default Anyone's sporting the led light bulbs?

Seeing if anyone has the single led bulb, and not the 1,000,000 led bulb setup. Just want to know if its worth purchasing. For the turn signal and reverse light.

here's a comparison of standard 1142 bulb compared to the 1142-CW45-T led.

i wanted a whiter light so i went with the cool white color. i would image the warm white option would have looked more stock.

specified current for the 1142-CW45-T bulb was 240mA. an 1142 is specified at 1.6A.

I replaced the interior lights with led because the cheap aftermarket lens were melting so the LEDs went in no heat

I need those single bulb replacement led's for the backup lights on my truck. My tint isn't too friendly at night. I have the multi LED tailights and turnsignals on the mustang. I think they look sexy.

Pick up the back up LEDs from mustang project its a disc that mounts in your housing and they are very bright there so bright when I back out of my drive way at night it lights up the neighbors garage across the street

not sure about euro looking.

can you tell which bulb is the LED? the only way i can tell is when you hit the brakes or flip the turn signals. the LED is on/off almost instantaneously.

No I cant and they look good. I guess what I mean are the led inserts that you can buy that are sequential. When I think of leds I think of bright individual leds on euro cars.

I believe he's talking about the full led replacement assemblies like mustang project sells, not just the bulbs. Personally, I'm not crazy about those, no offense to anyone who has them. I do like those led bulbs you've got there though, I've never seen those. Very nice.

Yeah thats what I mean. Just wondering because I have never seen them in person. I like the idea but I think the classic shouldnt stray too far from its roots.

Not sure what you mean by full LED replacement assemblies turbowars, but here's mine:

As you can see, mine is the LED panel type. The kit I used splices into the stock harness and has a switch to turn them from sequential to standard blink cycles if desired. The LED panel was glued into place with silicone, wires were run through and taped, and the control panel for the lights was velcro'd up on the bracket that holds the trunk hinge. Took me a couple of hours including set time for the silicone and I really like them. The last picture shows how bright they are - if they're that bright in full light, imagine how bright they are at night They don't look euro at all I don't think?

Edited because I realized that the original poster was not turbowars and he was asking about the single bulbs - general consensus is that they're very good, I believe. I like my panels because they don't tend to diffuse out the light (i.e. they're not brighter in the center where the bulb is and more dim around the edges). Didn't run me much cash either. Sorry to be totally off topic!

Sylvania Silver Star. rated at 645mA/2100mA per bulb.
they claim 40% brighter than a standard. i didn't test the standard bulb, so i don't know if it's that much better.

1157-R45-T rated at 25mA/165mA
these use 45 red LEDs

I painted the buckets gloss white.

I think i was getting the LEDs from Super Bright LEDs.

Silverstar on the left, LED on the right. I think the silverstar looks good personally. The red LED had nice color (doesn't show it in the pictures).

Downside of the LED is price.

The mustang is much brighter than my daily driver.

I love mine, did you see the video of them? They look very modern, which is sort of the look I am going for with my car.
